UDHR 60th Anniversary 10 Dec 2008

10 December 2008, Human Rights Day, marks the sixtieth anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the UN General Assembly. The power and relevance of the recognition enshrined in the Declaration - that all human beings have fundamental rights and freedoms - is undiminished today.
